Robb Stark to David Budd

Though he made his name from Game of Thrones, that doesn’t mean that he also makes money from it, there is much more that people need to know about Richard Madden.

Those who are lucky there come moments in their life when their career gear suddenly shifts to high, and they get the right path.  People forget your real name when you are known as a brand and touching the sky of success. A boy was born in a city near Glasgow and started his career before 2007 when he was a student. He appeared as a child actor when he was a student at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His fame started to touch the sky when he began his role as a Robb Stark in a serial named “Games of Thrones” in 2011 aired on HBO. Madden played a subsidiary role in the fiction series name “Medici” in 2016. Besides this in 2015 and 2019, other starring roles in “Disney Cinderella” and “Rocketman” also gained marvellous fame in the industry and created a significant impact in Madden’s life.

Robb Stark, from 2011 to 2013 in Games of Thrones, performed as best as he can and became a famous character of the series. This series got bigger and bigger by the time, but right after the thirst season exit, Madden started to lose his interest as he had no other option instead of keeping the work he has at his early age. He didn’t get much from this series and started to work in “Cinderella-Alive action Disney film” that was released in 2015. Madden worked in “Klondike” which is a miniseries and obtained Actors Guild.

Speaking with The Sunday Times, 3rd September 2018 the actor said:

“People think I am loaded because of Games of Thrones, but you know, when I signed up for that, I was 22 with nothing all on my CV, so I was paid nothing.”

According to Madden, he didn’t care about how much other people are paid in the industry. This approach has kept him to focus on work. Several co-stars recast and criticized him when he got a break for GOT in 2013. He said:

“You have got to bring your best to this show, because it’s going to go on with or without you.”

Eventually, Madden showed his talent and got a surprising level of fame.

In 2016 he played the role of the son of the founder of Medici Bank in Italian British drama series, and in the same year, he played American pickpocket in action movies “Bastille Day.” A young fellow started to get the attention of industry; as stated by the Albert Depp, providing writing services at King Essay: “Hard work is the key to success.”

Madden proved it with his self-confidence and self-motivation. Luckily he managed to balance his career, especially when he signs up for a BBC drama last year when he appeared as David Budd in Bodyguard, who romantically involves his Secretary. The actor knew that the BBC serial is doing very well whenever he saw the cover page of the new paper. The bodyguard was a great TV serial that has a great concept with a very strong grip on the script, but no one knows that this could create so much craze in public. By the finale of the bodyguard, Richard madden had been upgraded to ex GOT guy.

The interesting thing is all this hype happened when Richard was busy with something else, and that was Rocketman. In Rocketman, Madden plays as John Reid, a first manager and one-time lover to Elton. Dialogues of this play were different from what he had been doing since the start of his acting career. The new script forced him to sing and dance, which he has never done and neither from his natural skills. Bodyguard dressing gear up his moral as the actor said that in an interview: “I loved those heels, in the end,” Further Madden added: “A double-breasted suit and a big Cuban heel. I felt pretty sharp. They gave me a bit of a wiggle.”

Later on, his routine with the choreographer was too disturbed, and it reduced to some minutes. At that time, he was doing numerous tasks at a time, and his demand was increasing day by day. He was doing bodyguard in America and then awards ceremonies and much more. When a journalist asked him about his routine, then Madden said:

“I don’t mind, really,” he says. “I don’t like my house that much. It doesn’t suit me. It’s a little three-bedroom family house that I bought because I thought that was what I should do. It’s my parents’ house. I should have got a sexy one-bed loft in Clerkenwell.”

He has had an experience of this all busyness before because it is due to Game of Thrones in early age, before the age of 12 he was cast in a role in Barmy Aunt Boomerang. It was easy for him to manage the shift this kind of routine. In July 2019, Madden received an Honorary Doctorate of Drama from his alma mater, The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

When it comes to finding out about the direction of Madden’s path through Hollywood, it seems that Madden is touching the sky. Since his childhood actor growing outside Glasgow, Madden feels like he would collapse whenever his classmates teased him because of his absence from school for acting roles. On asking about his personal life in an interview, Madden said: “I just keep my personal life personal and I’ve never talked about my relationships even.”

It was a long journey with great effort from Robb Stark to David Budd. There come many other roles between these two characters he performed, and that have a significant impact on Madden’s life. Though both characters are too different from each other, Madden likes the bodyguard most. Bodyguard took Richard high from the ground. People now know David, not Madden. As stated by Stella Adam, who is working at Academist Help:

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a Leader.”
